Custom Item Rules
Custom Item Import Rules
If your item is a No-Property Item (Clothes, Wedding Rings, Tokens of Affection, etc), you are expected to build it, following the builder's guidelines and send it, in ERF format to the DM who is doing the importing for you.
Quest Items will be built by the Dungeon Master that wishes to reward you. While you may certainly discuss the aesthetics of the item you are being rewarded with, the DM has sole discretion over that item's properties. You may send them, for example, an ERF of the suit of armour, so that the look is appropriate, but do not add properties to it. Quest Rewards are supposed to be a pleasant surprise, not a game of "no no, I wanted black and improved evasion." It is entirely likely that you will not know you have recieved a Quest Reward until the DM hands it to you.
Download this guide in RTF Format.
