Humans
Humans are the most adaptable, flexible and ambitious people among the planes. They
are diverse in their tastes, morals, customs and habits. Others accuse them of having
little respect for history, but it's only natural that humans, with their relatively
short life spans and constantly changing cultures, would have a shorter collective
memory than dwarves, elves, gnomes or halflings.
As ubiquitous as their kin on the Prime, planar humans can simply be found everywhere,
in any environment. Humans have carved out civilizations everywhere from the
howling caves of Pandemonium to the depths of the plane of Fire. Lacking special
racial gifts and abilities, they compensate with determination and the will to
achieve and succeed, regardless of circumstances or obstacles.
Humans tend toward no particular alignment, not event neutrality. The best and the
worst of the planes are found among them. Human adventurers are the most audacious,
daring, and ambitious members of an audacious, daring, and ambitious race. A human
can earn glory in the eyes of her fellows by amassing power, wealth, and fame. Humans,
more than any other people, champion causes rather than territories or groups.

Humans, Oerth
Nearly all the humans of the Flanaess can trace their roots back to five racial groups.
Many folk retain distinctive characteristics, but most are difficult to recognize
due to long centuries of mixed marriages. However even in those cases, many
families identify with a certain racial group and follow those traditions and
customs whether they resemble their ancestors or not. Only the Rhennee shun marriages
outside their own race.
The Flannae are recognized by their bronze complexions and wavy or curly dark hair.
Flan eyes are most commonly dark brown or black, with brown or amber appearing
less frequently. The Oerdians have skin ranging from tan to olive, hair varying
in color from honey-blonde to black and eyes of every common color, though most
often brown or gray. Rhennee skin color ranges in the tan to olive shades and hair
tends to be culry and black or dark brown. Their eyes are most often brown, gray
or hazel.
The Suloise have fair skin, some almost albino. Their eyes vary from
pale blue and vielot through deep blue and the occasional gray, and their hair
is strawberry blonde, yellow and platinum. Wavy or kinky hair is seen as often
as straight. Lastly, Baklunish skin tends to be golden and eyes are most commonly
green or gray-green. Their hair color is always dark, ranging from blue-black
to dark brown.

Humans, Faerun
Humanity is numbered as one of the five Creator Races, albeit the last and most
primitive. However, like many other sentient races, not all humans originated on
Abeir-Toril; many humans alive in Faerun today are descended, at least in part,
from immigrants from other worlds. Although they are the most recent race to
achieve dominance here, humanity is founded all across the surface lands of Faerun,
from the arctic wastes of the Great Glacier to the steaming jungles of Chult.
The humans of Faerun are divided into innumerable competing nations, states, sects,
religions, bandit kingdoms, and tribes. They argue abeut anything, fight about most
things they argue about, and hold dear among their many deities quite a few who actively
encourage that type of behavior.
Humans from the Sword Coast tend to be tall, with pale skin, red or blonde hair,
and hazel or blue eyes. Darker hair and more muscular builds could indicate a human
from the Moonsea North or the Cold Lands. The peolpe from the Heartlands are
of medium height, and have all manner of hues to their hair and eyes. They're
generally stockier in the Dalelands, and apt to have finer features in Cormyr
and Tethyr. The people of Waterdeep, Amn, the Dragon Coast and Sembia
ofter have black hair, yellow or orange eyes, and
dusky skin.
In Turmish, the people have dark brown skin and black hair. The Vilhon Reach and
the Border Kingdoms about the Lake of Steam are crossroads where the people mix
and marry. Calimshan is a place of dusky skin - not brown or ochre - with much
black body hair that the sun may bleach almost white. Shorn and shaved and oiled
often, such skin typically turns golden. The Thayans aru much the same, and dark skins
can be seen in the Old Empires. In the lands around the Easting Reach they turn slender and shorter, and beyond in
Rashemen and Narfell, skins go swarthier.

Humans, Krynn
Humans were among the first races created by the gods. They represent the Neutral
portion of the triangle, and thus they were gifted with the freedom to choose their
own ethical and moral paths. Due to their short lifespans, humans are viewed by
longer-lived races as ambitious and impatient, restless and dissatisfied with their
lot in life. Humans live throughout Ansalon, with cultures so diverse that the
differences between individual humans are as great as the differences between elves
and dwarves. A race of extremes, humankind keeps the great pendilumof history
constantly swaying between good and evil, law and chaos.

Humans, Mystara
Humans come in all shapes and sizes, without really any common theme to unite them.
Historians claim that all the humans on Mystara are descendants from three ancient
races of humans: the Neathar, Oltec, and Tangor. A fourth major race, the Alphatians,
arrived on our world just over 2000 years ago, and have also contributed to the
various cultures now found today. With such a short lifespans, humans have evolved
rapidly and there are now more races of humans on Mystara than one can possible keep
track off.
Humans can be found on all the continents of Mystara, and seem to have adapted to
almost any climate. As mentioned, there are too many races of humans to describe
fully, but the two most common are the Thyatians with their olive complexion and
dark hair as well as the Common Alphatians with coppery complexions and brown or
red hair.

Humans, Cerilia
The humans of Cerilia vary widely; no less than five distinct cultures dwell here.
Cerilia's peoples are spread across the entire continent, and though there is some
intermingling, the Cerilians hav done an excellent job of maintaining their
respective heritages and ways of life.
The ancient Anuireans were a fair-skinned, red-haired people, but over centuries of
extensive contact with other cultures, Anuireans have lost most defining physical
characteristics. The Brechts tend to be short and stocky, with dark hair and eyes.
The Khinasi are tall and lanky, with aquiline features and dark eyes. Their
complexions range from a light coffee to a dark brown color. The Rjurik people
are a tall, broad-shouldered people with blond or red hair and fair complexions, and
both the men and women commonly wear their hair in long braids. Lastly, the Vos
are tall, thick-boned people with flat features, light eyes, and sallow skin.
Male warriors are fond of shaving their heads and wearing long, drooping mustaches.
